Repairing Your Vehicle

Body Department

Impact Auto Body has the best equipment and properly trained technicians in the industry to restore your vehicle to pre-loss condition. All of our technicians are I-CAR certified. Below you will find information regarding the various pieces of equipment the shop utilizes to give you an excellent repair.

Repair Equipment
AutoRobot Repair Bench
Impact Auto Body has three of these benches. They are used to perform structural repairs to unibody vehicles. We have a blueprint for virtually every car made that works with the Auto Robot's measuring system to guarantee that critically damaged areas are returned to their original condition. Pulling posts are used to re-align these damaged areas during the repair process.

Celette Dedicated Fixture Bench
This is used mostly on harder hit unibody vehicles. It uses a set of fixtures that replicates the manufacturing process closer than any system made. Each vehicle has its own set of fixtures that bolt first to the frame bench and then to a specific location on the vehicle. The technician uses pulling posts to realign the inner structure until each fixture aligns to a designated location the same as it did when the car was manufactured.

Chassis Liner Frame Rack
Repairs to full steel frames such as you would find under most pick up trucks are repaired on the Chassis Liner. A combination of chains and fixtures are used to securely fasten the trucks frame to the rack. Four posts, each producing up to ten tons of pulling power, are used to pull the damaged frame back to the manufacturers specifications. Blueprints of the trucks frame and a series of gauges are used to measure the frame during the repair process.

Touch Computerized Measuring System
The Touch Computerized Measuring System is a computerized, electronic measuring system that allows a technician to return a vehicle's frame and unibody to its pre-loss specifications.

Pro Spot Welder
The Pro Spot produces a weld that is equivalent in strength and appearance to welds made on the factory assembly line. A weld that appears different can have the affect of lowering the value of your vehicle at resale time.

Pro Spot Dent Puller
Many times it is impossible to access the back side of a damaged panel. This tool welds rivets to the outside of the panel, that are then used in conjunction with a pulling device to repair the damage.

Mig Welder
This electric welder uses a high strength steel wire to weld frame rails and other inner structure on both unibody and full frame vehicles.
